Privacy and local data

RightKeyMenu is designed around local configuration. The Finder extension reads only the shared configuration it needs to display the menu, while the main app performs the file action you explicitly trigger.

AI credentials

If you configure AI, the API key is stored in macOS Keychain. It is not written to normal settings, exported configuration, or logs. Configuration export is for menu structure, templates, directories, and scripts—not AI credentials.

You can disable any menu item, remove templates/directories/scripts, migrate your workflow by exporting configuration, and choose a local Ollama service if that fits your privacy requirements. When using a third-party AI service, follow that provider's policy and do not send sensitive content to a service that should not receive it.
